Josh's poignant documentary style photographic stories connect with the human element on the scene, be it in the fore- or background of the action and like a skilled anthropologist, he exploits the unique mood of talent, cast and crew as they are revealed behind the scenes or backstage.

 

 

Creative Process

 

This is a series of images of the sculptor Raffael Lomas and his work photographed by Josh Strauss using double exposures.

 

The photographs manifest the creative process. The crystallization of the process is expressed by the different interactions between the artist and the art piece documenting the vibration of creation.

 

The series has two parts: Yotser Or- creator of light; and Bore choshech- creator of darkness.
